The inpatient service consists of an Intensive Care area, dedicated to patients who require close monitoring, separate canine and feline inpatient areas, and an isolation area for the treatment of animals with infectious and contagious diseases.

Consultations and surgeries are performed by members of the hospital's clinical staff. As this is a teaching hospital, during the academic year, students can take patient histories and perform physical examinations during consultations, always under guidance and supervision, and never making clinical decisions.
